Last night the final tournament of the East Staffordshire Touch Series was held at Burton RUFC new ground. Despite having numerous players unavailable we were still able to enter two teams. Barton o2 went into the tournament in lead position for the series, a win tonight would have seen Barton o2 take the series win.

Both Barton o2 and Barton Bombers played some excellent rugby and there was great mix of old heads and young legs which helped produce a great team performance. Unfortunately neither team where able to win on the night but Barton o2 won the series for 2019.

Over the last five tournaments five clubs have entered over 15 teams. These events have seen the involvement of over 100 players taken part ranging in age from 14 to 50 plus. At this year has seen more women getting involved and also more new players to sport. A Big thank you to Simon Hincks and Nick Jackson for supporting the events. Also a massive thank you to all the volunteers for helping to organise and run the series.

O2 touch sessions run all year so you fancy joining in they run every Tuesday from 7pm.
