Do you struggle like me with Social Media, or even fight against it? Do we really need it and can we keep going with our business by just dabbling in it, hoping that the old ways are the best?

We have invited Elaine Pritchard from www.caittompublishing.co.uk to come along and explain exactly what are ‘Social Media Strategies’, why does Social media matter to business and what it can do for me?

This workshop will show:

1. Key differences between main social media channels: looking at the benefits and applications of LinkedIn; Facebook; Twitter; Pinterest; Instagram; YouTube and Google+ and a brief mention of blogs and blogging platforms.

2. Who gets it right and who gets it wrong looking at some examples of bigger brands making public mistakes on social media. They are examples of traps any business or organisations could fall into. We’ll also look at some positive case studies of when it goes right.

3. Paid-for versus organic: an overview of the difference between free social media (although there is always the cost of someone’s time to create and manage) and the options to pay on the major platforms.

4. Measures of success. How to link activity to various commercial outcomes. How do we measure success?

5. Developing a strategy the interactive part – We will provide some example templates on paper and delegates can start to create their own simple strategies for their businesses or their future, dream business.
